In Adobe InDesign, you can align and distribute objects such as: text, photos and graphics so these elements are lined up exactly as you want them to be!

By aligning objects perfectly, you create order and symmetry in your layouts with an invisible grid, so things make visual sense to the eye. You can top, bottom, left, right, or center align objects to each other (selection), the page, the margins, the spread or to a key object you select.

By distributing objects across the page, margin, spread or to each other or by a certain amount or measurement, you can ensure the space you’re working with is utilized to the fullest!

In this tutorial, I show you how to:

– align objects to themselves, a key object or with the page, spread or margins
– distribute objects across the page, margin, spread or each other
– set a key object
– use grids and guides
– create a new InDesign document
– create a perfect circle
– use smart guides
– add facing pages or create a spread AFTER you have a file open
– distribute objects equally a certain amount!
