This video was made to show how to get the colours looking more natural ona Sony AX53 camera. It has a ‘custom’ white balance setting which is extremely good, and once that is set, your colours will no longer wander as you point at different things.

It is always better to lock the colour balance before starting to video but if you are in a hurry or are vlogging in all kinds of conditions, then you have no other option than to resort to ‘auto white balance’. Not the best but at least it is nearly right most of the time.

Sony only provide two presets in any case other than auto. Sunny and tungsten. As most UK dwellers know, it isn’t always terribly sunny here in the UK, so it can prove difficult to get a good colour balance unless you know how to set it manually.
